Commissioned by the Washington Post, this illustration was used as a two page spread for a November 27, 2005 magazine article entitled A Storm Surge Runs Through It. The article dealt with
the direct damages incured to local streams from suburban spawl. The image was later picked up, revised (shown above), and used for interpretive signage by nature reserves in the northeast. |
